The middle school students took to the courtyard to toast s’mores as part of their heat transfer lab.

Temps may be low but that didn’t stop Mr. Heisey’s eighth grade science classes from warming up!

The middle school students took to the courtyard to toast s’mores as part of their heat transfer lab. They enjoyed their creations after learning about the various topics involved, including conduction, convection, radiation, and thermal energy.

"Students have been learning about the different ways that heat can transfer. After learning about the ideas of conduction and convection, the students were able to apply those concepts and explain how they related to the activity of making s’mores.", said Brian Heisey, the Central York Middle School Science Teacher who put together the demo.
