Typically all extracurricular activities are announced on the morning announcements. Flyers for events are located either in the main office or in the plastic wrack right outside the cafeteria. The main building website also includes information regarding extracurricular activities. You may also contact the main office at the Middle School to inquire about extracurricular activites.
5)  Q How do I find out about school policies and procedures, programs, and other school related events and information?

Every Central York Middle School student receives a school planner. In the front of the planner there is information about middle school life. The planner also contains room for students to write down their homework on a daily basis. We strongly encourage students to utilize their planners everyday.

8)  Q Who do I contact if I have a concern about my child's grades?
A
If your child is struggling in one particular class, contacting the teacher of that specific subject would provide the most current and accurate information regarding your child's progress. If he or she is having difficulty in several subjects, contacting your child's team leader in order to arrange a team meeting may be advantageous. Counselors often attend these meetings in an effort to assist in formulating an intervention plan for the student.
9)  Q As a student, how do I go about scheduling an appointment with my School Counselor?
A
There are several ways in which to schedule an appointment. At the end of the 2012-2013 school year, we moved to electronic scheduling for appointments. Students can go to the Guidance Office and use the computer behind Mrs. C's desk(Guidance Secretary) to schedule an appt. Mrs. C is available to assist with this process. The best times to visit the Guidance Office in order to make an appointment are: First thing in the morning, before or after lunch, or during team study. Students may also email Counselors from home requesting an appointment. If a student does not have a computer, and cannot make time to stop in the Guidance Office to make an appointment, they may also ask his or her homeroom or team study teacher if he or she can contact the Counselor letting us know that the student would like to make an appointment.
10)  Q How do I find out about Volunteer Opportunities?
A
Go to the calendar section of the Counseling website, or check the resources portion for useful volunteer opportunities.
