Works In Progress

Ms Frey's 8th grade art students will increase art vocabulary and individual problem solving skills using critical thinking by working on a variety of art projects. They will develop their drawing ability by learning to render form using values of grey, as well as color. Student work experience includes linear perspective, observational drawing of geometric forms, as well as non representational and abstract design. Students will also create 3 dimensional ceramic sculptures. The 8th grade fine arts course is designed to expose students to a wide variety of art skills in a positive and encouraging atmosphere. Students who are inspired by their middle school art experience are encouraged further developed these skills at the high school level.

Please  save aluminum drink tabs for the Ronald McDonald House charities. This is the 10th year that Central School District has collected tabs. Tabs can be sent or dropped off at Central York Middle school in care of Ms Frey in Art room 62. Thanks for your continued support!!!!!!!!!! Go Panthers!!!

The Ronald McDonald House charieties help families in many ways to off set the high cost of caring for sick children. Ms Frey has been collecting aluminum drink tabs for the Ronald McDonald House for many years as a way to repay the charity for providing service when her own family experienced a medical crisis. CYSD has collected over a million tabs over the years! The money made from recycling the tabs helps raise money for services such as transportation, food, shelter and building maintenance.

Small gestures by many contribute greatly to a common good. Every tab saved has a collective impact!
