Who do I contact regarding homework if my child is absent from school? |

All family's can access homework, classwork and grades through Schoology and Skyward. If you are unsure how to use these systems, please contact your child's Team Leader. Team Leaders for the 2020 - 2021 school year are:

How does my child get involved in extracurricular activities at the Middle School? |

Typically
all extracurricular activities are announced on the morning
announcements. Flyers for events are located either in the main office
or in the plastic wrack right outside the cafeteria. The main building
website also includes information regarding extracurricular activities.
You may also contact the main office at the Middle School to inquire
about extracurricular activities.

Every
Central York Middle School student receives policies and procedures during the first week of school. You can also find policies and procedures on the CYSD Website.

Who do I contact if I have a concern about my child's grades? |

A |
If
your child is struggling in one particular class, contacting the
teacher of that specific subject would provide the most current and
accurate information regarding your child's progress. If he or she is
having difficulty in several subjects, contacting your child's team
leader in order to arrange a team meeting may be advantageous.
Counselors often attend these meetings in an effort to assist in
formulating an intervention plan for the student.

As a student, how do I go about scheduling an appointment with my School Counselor? |

The very best way to request an appointment with your School Counselor is through an email. Mrs. Rossi's email is: nrossi@cysd.k12.pa.us and Mr Glusco's email is mglusco@cysd.k12.pa.us.
Asking a classroom teacher to notify either Mrs. Rossi or Mr. Glusco for an appointment is also very appropriate.

Go to the calendar section of the Counseling website, or check the resources portion for useful volunteer opportunities. **Listening to morning announcements is also an essential way to learn about volunteer opportunities.
