The Central York High School iTeam (http://www.cypanthers.org/iteam/) is hosting a Hackathon on Jan. 21, 2017. The CYHS iTeam is a small group of students who want to help other students and staff with technology and who strive to improve their knowledge of computer science and related activities.

A hackathon is a timed event where students can create and collaborate on unique projects in the computer science field during the time allotted. The Central York Hackathon (“CYHacks”) will promote teamwork, creativity, and the interest of computer science in many people in the York County area. Students interested in STEM (science, technology, engineering and mathematics) from all over the county are invited. This will allow everyone the opportunity to participate and give everyone a chance to improve their computer science skills.

Our event will be held on January 21st, at Central York High School in our school’s Library and Learning HUB from 8am-8pm. CYHacks is open to students who are in 7th grade through college. The event is available for teenagers and adults who are interested in computer science, and/or students who want to try it for the first time.
